What a way to start!

“Desire” EP, from J1MI & Beyonders.

Artwork and design by Joe Haydon

Firstly, welcome to the blog! I’ll be writing a whole bunch of stuff here - mostly about what I’m up to, sometimes just stuff i’m interested in, and usually about photography and the like.

BUT… Today is a big day!

(And not not just because i’m starting a blog)…

There’s an exciting little something that I’ve been a bit quiet about (unless I’ve cornered you and babbled giddily about it when its all got a bit exciting), but today the roller-coaster officially begins. I’ve been working with the incredible musicians of Beyonders for a while, and more recently teaming up with legendary Mensch Music Management on this journey. You might not have heard of Beyonders yet (though the buzz in less mainstream circles has been unmissable) because today is the day their work is finally unleashed on the world. Having been given the role of art director, I’ve been busy with promotional videos and the cover artwork for today’s and future EP releases (see today’s release below), as well as an upcoming album cover. I’m proud of the work we’ve done, and it’s exciting seeing it out there in the world at last. Listen to Modern Maze in full below, and sample some teasers further down the page.

I’ve been amongst the world of music photography, working with musicians, artists and venues for years. Gig and concert photography of live shows has always been a passion, both onstage and behind-the-scenes. Album cover photography, band photos, musician portraits, even tour photography on the road have all been an inspiration and a big part of my work, as well as similar work for theatre and dance shows too.

This adventure is a bit different though, it’ll be quite the ride. There’s only so much I can reveal right now, but I’ll keep you all in the loop.

Have a peek at some of my other work with performers here:
